The Pumpkin Patch { Ardenwood Historic Farms- Perry Farms Fremont California }

I am always trying to work on less posed and rigid photoshoots, and more organic natural style photos. Im always documenting photos of my kids and it pains me to try to get them to sit still for “cheese” and fake smiley photos.  Of course we always want that one posed shot with everyone smiling, but lately Ive had so many sessions with parents standing besides me squealing and making crazy noises and the children start crying or painfully smiling. I would much rather our photography experience be more fliud and less strict and get every single pose of babies or kids fake smiling. Lets think more about the happy laughter that comes naturally with parents and siblings playing with each other, dad’s giving piggy back rides and hanging out. But dont worry, we wil defintinely get the shot you need to hang above the fireplace or mail in your Holiday cards. The Studio sessions for milestone photos will obviously still be sitting in front of a backdrop, but hopefully can be more organic and not as crazy with all those squeakers, rattles, and destracting background noises 🙂 ( no offense if you have done that as I am a complete culprit! Here are some of the photos we took at our last adventure to the Ardenwood Pumpkin Patch. I absolutely love going here each year as the staff takes you for the tractor ride and personal talks about the different fruits and vegatables that they organically grow on the property. We even stopped at the food stand on the way out and picked up some Purple “Graffiti Caulliflower and Japanese Sweet potatoes, which were delicious. Every year I take a picture of the kids next to the growing sign, and I can’t believe the changes I see each year. Tate has grown so much this year! before you know it I am going to be taking their picture next to this sign when they are 18. The time is going by slow and fast at the same time, if that makes any sense?
